Timeless
body, Tl. mind
|
|
Thought this
book was very good. It specifically talks about the power of our
thoughts and words on our reality as well as on aging. It also talks
about what one can do to age well and reverse negative signs of
aging, such as exercise, diet, meditation, etc. The research and
citations back up his ideas thoroughly and prove that aging is very
much within our control, more so than most people believe possible.

The
angel is near
|
|
This
novel is a unique combination of mystery and adventure with spiritual
messages inter-woven at regular intervals. Although I normally choose
spiritual books written in the straight style that Dr. Chopra usually
uses, I found this book appealing and reassuring, generating a message
of hope and clarity. The "angel voice" is an invitation to the reader
to banish doubt and see themselves in the light. I believe that
any medium which provides such an opportunity should be gratefully
embraced and accepted, for the sake of humankind. Read this one
and pass it along!

Celestial
gallery
|
|
A
large format (approx. 18 inches by 24 inches) book filled with the
most beautifully painted mandala paintings of White Tara, Green
Tara, Medicine Buddha, Healing Buddha, and many other powerful Tibetan
Buddhist images, the impact of this book is simply overwhelming
in its rich color and detail. The meaning and significance of each
sacred figure is described with care, and any one of these full-page
brilliantly reproduced color paintings would be perfect to frame
and hang in your home or office (if you can possibly bear to cut
this book up!). Celestial Gallery is really the most beautiful book
I have ever seen. Congratulations to Calloway Books for producing
this ambitious book. Energy radiates from every powerful page.

The
Chopra Center Herbal Handbook
|
|
Not
in opposition to, but (surprisingly) in conjunction with impressive
advances in the medical sciences, growing numbers of people are
seeking gentle botanical methods for treating illnesses. Coauthors
David Simon, M.D., and Deepak Chopra, M.D., attribute this "herbal
renaissance" to our thriving information age and the resulting self-empowered
"patients" who aren't nearly so patient as they once were. In celebration
of this integrated healing approach, one that involves treating
the mind and spirit as well as the body, Simon and Chopra fully
describe the 40 most frequently herbs used in their Chopra Center
for Well Being in La Jolla, California.

Conocer

I have being searching for spiritual answers to everyday common
questions for a long time. I finally found a book that shows me
where to look!! I really like the scientific explanation that D.
Chopra offers in this book. In a quite simple way he manages to
guide his readers through their own personal knowledge of God. The
fascinating thing is that it is not a religious journey but rather
an amazing, spiritual one. This is a book to be read more than once
and to keep as a reference and as a reminder of the divinity inside
each human being. I strongly recommend this book to anyone in search
of spirituality. You must keep an open mind to be able to capture
the essence of D. Chopra's words even though they might shake your
most deepest beliefs.

Creating
affluence
|
|
A good friend gave me this book over 5 years ago - since then I
have given new copies to many friends. I have followed Chopra's
advice in the book to read 3 pages a day ongoingly and randomly...doing
this lets the ideals sink into your subconscious and work in your
life. This book has reinforced and supplemented what I have deep
down always known and has been of tremendous joy and use to me.
While the Indian based philosophy might not resonate with everyone,
it really clicked with me and how I learn & listen. I can honestly
say that my income has tripled since reading and applying the tenants,
and my enjoyment of All the wealth that I have in my life has greatly
increased (friends, health, a full belly, family, etc.)

Creating
health
|
|
The basic idea of Deepak Chopra's work is that your attitude to
the world, the way you think and interpret the reality creates different
chemicals and hormones which have an enormous impact on your body
and your health. This is how mind connects to the body. But the
best part is, that your attitude and your thinking is in your hands,
which means that your health is also in your hands. Chopra is a
big promotor of alternative health care methods and an opponent
of the traditional medicine. Chopra builds on old tradition from
India and introduces his own advances including a breath-focused
meditation. The book is easy to follow since Chopra uses very logical
sequence of ideas and has a very clear syntax.

Chopra
companion
|
|
In A Deepak Chopra Companion, Leon Nacson, a longtime friend and
colleague of Dr. Chopra, presents an accessible survey of his works,
from the most basic concepts of mind body medicine to the most rewarding
paths of spiritual growth. Based on their dialogues over the years,
A Deepak Chopra Companion answers the questions readers themselves
would ask Dr. Chopra if they had the opportunity. For instance:
What am I doing here? Who am I? Why is meditation so important?
And what is the connection between intention and desire? The result
is a book that covers all the fundamental points that lie at the
heart of Dr. Chopra's views on healing and the exploration of human
consciousness.

Everyday
immortality
|
|
In the 20 minutes it took to read this book, I changed my view of
the world. The world mankind perceives, it explains, is a product
of the mind. There is no need to hate anything, doubt anything,
worry about anything. You are defining it second by second through
your senses. That said, focus on the present, Chopra teaches. Watch
the unfolding world like a show, for that's all it is. It is a good
show, a show to love, a show to learn from, but a show, happily.
No stress. No heavy lifting....a real eye opener

How
to know god
|
|
This book is good for cultivating an open mind, and accepting (as
Jesus did) differences in opinions as being healthy to growth and
well-being. The different Attributes given to "Know God" are the
prime exmple of this. People have different personalites for differnt
reasons -- but the ubnerlying reality is that we are all people.
We will be healthy, as a species (Flock, if you prefer) if we incorporate
and harmonize with these different viewpoints -- i.e. each other.
Anyone giving this book less than 3 stars must not have looked very
hard; or is perhaps frustrated with their own inability to find
a rewarding answer. Clearly, this book is well thought out, and
helpfully informative in some way, as it does cover (although more
broad than deep) many different subjects.

Journey
into healing
|
|
The book of Journey Into Healing is highly serene, comforting, peaceful,
and abundantly filled with beneficial wisdom. I have listened to
this tape several times and I highly recommend it. I, along with
many people I know read and enjoy many of Dr. Chopra's books and
tapes. Journey Into Healing is highly enjoyable and a rewarding
learning experience. Journey Into Healing is among my favorite cassette
tapes and Dr. Chopra is among my favorite author's. He is an incredible
being that shares enormous knowledge. I am an author myself on Amazon.com
and Journey Into Healing is one of many cassettes and books that
have contributed to my personal development and inspiration. Highly
recommended.
