Aris
Sung a warrior of the Cappellan Confederation and a compatriot to
his country, is assigned a mission to take a planet that is controlled
by the bitter enemies of the Cappelan Confederation, the Sarna Supremacy.
In this book you see the ruthless acts committed by both sides in
the desperate struggle for the planet. The battle of this novel
is not a battle to have ultimate control of the universe or a battle
to destroy a entire Successor State but a battle for the resources
of the planet, this resource is mainly rice. This is a must read,
and depicts the struggles of the Successor States in more realistic
terms of politics and economy rather than destiny and history.

Flashpoint
|
|
The
Federated Commonwealth balances on the brink of civil war as opposing
forces wrestle for control of the WarShip fleet stationed near the
planet of Kathil. Now, one man vows that he won't fail the people
of his homeworld, even if that means leading untested MechWarriors
against overwhelming firepower-and dredging up memories of a war
he'd rather forget...

Bloodlines

I
have read all of the Magic: The Gathering novels, from the start
with the tale of The Brothers' War, to the journeys of Gerrard and
the Weatherlight in Mercadian Masques. This book is one of my three
favorites (the others being Nemesis and Rath and Storm). But this
one sticks out in my mind. The plot for the destruction of Urza,
his search for an heir to his Legacy, and all of his friends including
Barrin, Gatha, Rayne, Multani, and others. This book has an interesting
plot that makes you want to forget all other plans for the day and
read instead. I strongly recommend this book!

Into
the Maelstrom
|
|
Based
on the action-filled computer game, a novel of war and suspense
finds the Earth propelled through a strange vortex into an alternate
universe, a hideous parody of known reality. I hope everyone who
picks up Into the Maelstrom enjoys reading about the events of this
new shared-universe as much as I enjoyed writing about them. Into
the Maelstrom will serve as a great introduction to the universe,
whether you came in from the fiction or game.

Battletech
Field Manual
|
|
The
Capellan Confederation is going through a "Xin Sheng" movement,
which means "Rebirth" in Chinese. Led by the wise and, surprisingly,
sane Sun-Tzu Liao, the future is bright for the Capellan Confederation.
The Field Manual includes information on Capellan Confederation
Units (including Warrior Houses and the Death Commandos), the St.
Ives Compact and the Free Capella movement. Along with this are
a load of new MW 3rd Edition things, like the St. Ives Compact affiliation,
loads of new life paths (like Warrior House aspirant or Death Commando
covert tour). Plus, the new Stealth Armor, new missile munitions,
new 'Mechs and 'Mech variants, and the Feng Huang Cruiser. Buy this,
even if you aren't a Cappie! Its so cool!

New
from FASA--a fiction series based on its most popular board game!
CRIMSON SKY FICTION These novels, based on the exciting Microsoft
computer game (scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2000)
and FASA's popular board game, introduce the world of Crimson Skies.
In the 1930s--of an alternative-history America--air militias from
fragmented nation-states fight to protect themselves from pirates
and other raiders. In this America, the planes are faster, the guns
are bigger, and life is more exciting. The first series follows
the transformation of Trevor "Rogue" Rheese from law-abiding security
agent to pirate with a heart of gold.

Illusions
of Victory
|
|
Finally
a break from the Capellan storyline! Good characters with lots of
action including some of the best small scale battle scenes I have
read in the Battletech series. Loren Coleman does an excellent job
of bringing Solaris VII to life, (which was a very pleaseant surprise
after being dissapointed in his last couple novels). The main plot
and subplots tie togther nicely with all of the intrigue that makes
the good Battletech novels stand out above the average ones.

Threads
of Ambition
|
|
The
ambitious First Lord of the resurrected Star League launches a campaign
to rebuild the ancient Capellan Confederation. With his sights set
on expanding his borders through the reclamation of the St. Ives
Compact, he is brought into direct conflict with his own family.
Supported by the ferocious Hustang Warriors, the threat poses a
danger to all who would oppose the First Lord's rule. With military
units divided in their loyalties, the question remains: Who is willing
to pay the higher price in blood?.
